Dr. Divij an eager traveler has explored every corner of the earth whether to study or work, from the United States to London, and now Dubai and Ireland, he prides himself to have worked with the best teams around the globe. Dr. Divij likes to blend his academic and scientific interests with his strong esthetic eye and creativity. With a headstrong belief in ‘face-driven’ orthodontics, he believes no two smiles are alike, and every face and personality is different.


In addition, he is passionate about carrying out research and has published more than a dozen research articles. He has served for 4 years on the Editorial Board of the ‘Journal of Contemporary Dentistry’ and is also the Co-Editor of The Dental Experts for the past 7 years. Dr. Divij has also been invited as a guest speaker for various Orthodontic lectures and conventions and has chaired numerous presentations over the years. Over the course of his academic employment, he has overlooked more than 700 undergraduate and 50 postgraduate students.


What further sets him apart is his exceptional commitment to his patients, meticulously planning every treatment personally, often solving seemingly challenging cases, and – above all – his refreshingly sincere love for his job. He is dedicated to creating healthy and attractive smiles for his patients, using the latest technology. He earns his patient’s trust, built on an old-fashioned commitment to practice with honesty, integrity, and consistency and based on delivering superior smiles. It all starts with just a smile, and he strives to make smiles from the inside out.


He has worked as an Orthodontist alongside the team of United Nations for their Operation in the United Nations Development Program. In addition, he devotes time and energy to advancing and offering orthodontic evaluations and treatment to various non-profit philanthropic organizations in India, which treat children who present with facial and dental malformations.


He is a member of the excellent standing of many local and national dental and orthodontic societies in India. He is a referee and reviewer for many papers and books. He prides himself on constantly seeking continuing education courses that enhance the patient experience. He views orthodontics not just as a profession but more importantly as a mindset. ABOUT INVISALIGN®





Properly aligned and beautifully straight teeth are more than just attractive, they're better for your oral health. Dental malocclusion (a bad bite), crooked teeth, and gaps can turn into future problems that are painful and possibly expensive to fix. Made custom to gently and comfortably meet your cosmetic goals, Invisalign® clear aligners are more comfortable and attractive compared to metal braces. Since you can remove them, you'll find it easy to eat, brush your teeth, and floss.



BEST CANDIDATES





Several factors will influence the alignment of your teeth: if you sucked your thumb as a child, hereditary traits, losing a tooth or several teeth, or an injury to your jaw. Misaligned teeth may cause other oral health problems, such as a bad bite (dental malocclusion), ground-down enamel, difficulty chewing and speaking, plus toothaches and TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder).

Invisalign® clear aligners are good for teens and adults who would like to improve their smile but without the appearance and hassle of metal orthodontics. Even though your aligners should be in at least 20 hours a day, Invisalign® clear aligners can be removed to brush your teeth and eat, plus for playing sports and special events. More discreet than traditional braces, most people won't know that you're wearing your Invisalign® clear aligners.



WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?





Once we have created your treatment plan, your first Invisalign® clear aligners will be made from the digital x-rays taken at our office. Once they are sent to our office, we will contact you to get your first aligners and instructions from your dentist. You need to use your aligners every day for at least 20 hours for the treatment to work, with the goal of only taking them out to brush your teeth and eat. After about two weeks, you should switch to your second set of aligners so they can continue to shift your bite closer to proper alignment.


Most patients use Invisalign® clear aligners for an average of 10 – 18 months.



AFTERCARE TREATMENT





Now that you've transformed your smile with Invisalign® clear aligners, it is crucial to keep your teeth in place with a retainer while your gums and jaw adjust. You can keep your smile looking beautiful with a clear, discreet Vivera® retainer. Vivera® retainers are specially made to hold your teeth in place after you've completed your final set of aligning trays.
